This interactive PowerPoint lesson will help your students interpret remainders in real-life scenarios using basic division facts. Two sets of guided notes are included to use with the PowerPoint lesson and as additional practice/small group instruction. These activities can be used in one day (whole group and small group) or in two days (two separate whole group lessons).
This lesson breaks down interpreting remainders into simple steps and helps students identify how the parts of the division problem connect to the story.

Students can use manipulatives to act out each word problem (post-it notes and dry pinto beans work great) or watch the problem being acted out within the presentation.
