Description
Students must interview a person who has immigrated to Canada. This file contains the assignment outline, student self-assessment rubrics, teacher-assessment rubrics, interview outline and a Passport template. Students also create a suitcase and include 4 artifacts to enhance their presentation.
Students are assessed on their knowledge of the immigration process and their oral communication skills when they present their project to the class.
This assignment aligns with Ontario Social Studies and Language: Oral Communication Curriculum Expectations, but could be adapted for any province in Canada.
