Description

THIS GAME INCLUDES 3 CREATIVE ESCAPE ROOM STYLE CHALLENGES :

❤️1. Help the gingerbread man safely run away from all 6 of the people & animals chasing him!

❤️2. Help the gingerbread man collect all 8 items he needs to build his dream house!

❤️3. Help the gingerbread man find all 10 of the big candy buttons he lost!

I like to do one challenge/day for 3 days during our morning meeting. Every time they play, students are getting practice with number writing, number identification, counting, teamwork, problem solving, and of course - having FUN!

❤️ HOW TO PLAY:

1. Choose a challenge to work on today. This makes it exciting!

2. Kids all write their numbers from 1 to 24 on the provided page (more info below on 3 differentiated options included). It's no prep... just print and go and it makes for AWESOME, highly motivated practice!

3. Display the interactive game board on Google Slides. It shows all the numbers they just practiced writing. Call on students to take a turn choosing a number. Everyone crosses that number off on their paper (so we know we used it and don't choose it again). Click on the number and it reveals something that was hiding underneath!! Oh, my! Is it something we need for today's challenge?

4. Keep clicking on numbers and crossing them out until you've completed today's challenge! Kids LOVE it!!! And so do teachers!

❤️ DIFFERENTIATED RECORDING SHEETS :

Each challenge comes with 3 recording sheets where kids will have the numbers from 1 to 24.

Page options for EVERY CHALLENGE include:

  • Blank: Kids write their own numbers from 1 to 24 with no guidance or lines.
  • Traceable Lines: Kids trace the numbers.
  • Pre-printed Numbers: For kids who are working on number ID. No number writing required... they'll just cross the letters out as the challenge is played.

Want more like this? Here is a Leprechaun Challenge that focuses on letters from A to Z, capital or lowercase.

Note: The handwriting style for these is what you see pictured in the preview.

Thanks for looking!
