Prior Learning: Students are familiar with family members and relationships, family activities, conjugating present tense verbs, and possessive adjectives.
Assessment Objectives: Students will demonstrate the ability to:
1. understand family related information in spoken and written forms
2. understand expressions regarding families and related activities in both spoken and written forms
3. properly describe family members
4. write about family related information in a clear, organized manner

L3: Apply knowledge of language functions in order to affect comprehension and expression across contexts
L4: Extract meaning from unknown words and phrases using context clues, word parts, and appropriate references
L5: Demonstrate understanding of figurative expression, word relationships, and nuances in language
