Music of the Enlightenment: No music knowledge needed! Instead of lecturing about the importance and impact this era has on modern music, have your students discover it through a listening activity!
Through this activity, students explore the wonders of classical music. Done as a class or individually, students listen to 7 songs of the Enlightenment era. Songs include selections from the following composers: Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven and Handel. Student will be able to break down the songs and understand the impact of this era.
This activity includes:
- Student handout
- 7 audio tracks - play each song for 1-2 minutes.
All clips are MP3 audio files, so you'll need an MP3 player on your computer such as iTunes, Quicktime, etc.
Student handout is completely editable and customizable to suit your classroom needs!
