What educators are saying
My students are creating beautiful Georgia O'Keefe inspired pieces with the directions on the Powerpoint.
My team planned a day of artist studies as our last days activity. I loved the activities and info that came in this product.
Description
This lesson plan introduces students to the American artist, Georgia O'Keefe, and her colorful, larger than life flower paintings.
The detailed and colorful power point presentation teaches students important information about the artist including where she is from, how she became an artist and what style of painting she is most famous for. Included are step by step instructions (with visuals) that will allow students to create their own O'Keefe inspired flower paintings using basic materials such as colored pencils and either watercolor or tempera paint.
Also included are a list of questions to ask students at the end of the lesson to assess their knowledge of O'Keefe and her style of painting; a great way to wrap up the lesson! Enjoy!
