Description
Great for introducing the election process to your students! Also perfect to use before class elections or Student Council elections!
This resource will get your students talking about what issues are important to them and will allow them to step into the shoes of a presidential candidate. Perfectly paired with ME for President, students will create a flip book with their qualifications and a summary of the issues that are important to them. I have also included a poster and a brochure in ME for President that kids can use to launch their own campaign for election within your class. If you schedule class elections, these are great tools for kids to use in planning their campaign speeches.
Students can meet in small groups or make class presentations after completing the flip book, poster, and/or brochure. Issues such as recess, homework, friendship, and kindness can help kids to focus on what’s important to them and focus away from the adult disagreements over the candidates this
election year.
