Description
The End-of-Term Reflection Guide is a structured worksheet designed to help students reflect on their academic progress at the end of a term. There is one specifically for Quarter Term Reflection and Semester Term Reflection. It includes prompts and sections that encourage students to evaluate their achievements, challenges, learning strategies, and areas for improvement. While the Quarter Term Reflection is a quick overview of self analyzing questions, the Semester Term Reflection has more in-depth questions along with examples students can follow to guide their reflection. (I have also included a version that does not have the examples if students do not need the scaffolding.)
I cannot emphasize the importance it is to include student reflection in your curriculums and have seen the difference when students take the time to analyze past terms. It promotes self-reflection, individualized support, and goal-oriented learning. It also builds self-awareness, encourages ownership of learning, promotes critical thinking and improves student performance.
I encourage you to add reflection and see for yourself the difference it makes in your classrooms.
