Description

As students are learning about each letter of the alphabet, many teachers have the class work together to make a chart or map of people, places, and things that start with that letter. These are great to display on the walls or put together in a class book. Some teachers DRAW the items, but I knew that’d take too long for me and I would definitely mess up some of the trickier things they want to include… like I don’t want to spend 3 minutes trying to draw a kangaroo that doesn't even look like one. So I made this editable template to just copy & paste images from the Internet into!

It turns out SO COOL and includes these non-editable elements:

•A little alphabet photo in the corner with the words “is for…”

•A big, clear, capital bubble letter

Then the rest of the space is yours to copy and paste in pictures and text based on what your students want to add!

This purchase includes the basic editable template in Google Slides, and also an editable copy of the pages my kids helped me brainstorm last year, in case it helps you visualize how it could look.

Ideas: In my class, we work on a letter per day. And I share my screen with them I include a little photo of any student whose name starts with that letter ahead of time and then take ideas from the class to make a cool collage of photos all around the page. For example, if a kid says, “B is for Bear!” I’ll just search the Internet for images of “bears with a white background” and quickly copy and paste a good one. Waaaaay easier/better than drawing and super quick!
