Description
This is a short story about a group of Union soldiers in a civil war camp who are faced with economic decisions and challenges. They must somehow develop a way to raise money for a new baseball, a camp past time favorite. They soon discover the power of scarcity, demand and productivity. Topics covered include: Impact of increased productivity, opportunity cost, the influence of price incentives, and the benefits of specialization. There are two sets of leveled questions. Review questions challenge higher level thinkers and the Supplemental are great for learners needing some assistance. There are 10 Review questions and 8 Supplemental.
