What educators are saying

This was a nice resource. I used it with other materials that I had. It will great to see what they remember when we see the solar eclipse.
This was a great way to teach my students about the upcoming eclipse. I modified using buttons because I didn't have clay or playdough. My students loved it!

Description

Solar and lunar eclipses are interesting to learn about. Students will understand the reason for eclipses and how and when eclipses occur. Students will make a model of an eclipse and read an informational text passage on lunar and solar eclipses. Students will understand that the relationship between the Sun, moon, and Earth is the reason for eclipses. Students will love these varied activities on eclipses. This unit should take about three days to complete. MS-ESS1-1

I love this resource. It really helped my students understand the concepts and understand the causes of eclipses. Making the model was great.
