What educators are saying

This was a great resource to use when teaching students how to divide a decimal by a whole number. Having the models to use gave the students a concrete understanding of this skill. My students enjoyed completing this activity.
I used some of these sheets with my students as a center as the skill I used them for was narrower than the scope of this pack

Description

Do your students understand how to divide decimals by whole numbers?

You can use these simple models to teach decimal by whole number division conceptually, before you teach students the algorithm!

There are 2 pdf sheets included. The first is a 16-question, 2-sided practice worksheet to use as you teach the concept. The second is a 16-question, 2-sided homework page to reinforce the topic.

There is also a 16-slide Google Slides version, perfect for distance learning! Your students can virtually manipulate 16 models, so they can actually see how each quotient is formed! The slides are the same as the first 2 pages of the pdf.

Here's a 7-question Google Forms Escape Room on the same topic!
