What educators are saying

Love these writing organizers and they take all the guess work out of "I don't know what to write". My kids have produced some great sentences!
This student based resource is great, I printed it and added it to their daily writing book and students have found the word banks very helpful!

Description

15 NO PREP DESCRIPTIVE WRITING WORKSHEETS designed to help students craft quick, focused, descriptive, sensory-filled writing passages. Each worksheet is scaffolded to help students achieve success. This is accomplished with the aid of a title, a visual prompt, and a word bank.

Students will craft descriptive passages through the use of specific nouns, adjectives, and action verbs provided in the word banks. These word banks are designed to encourage students to use descriptive vocabulary words but they should not feel limited to them.

They are intended to compliment lessons on descriptive imagery by helping students think carefully about their word choices. I have included extra writing paper for teachers who would like their students to further develop these passages into full-length writing pieces.

NOTE: Along with the printable PDF version, this resource now includes a FREE GOOGLE SLIDES version, making it ideal for digital distance learning and remote teaching!
