Create Your Own Island - Mapping

For this project, students will create and design their own island with the theme of their choice. On their islands, students will include important parts of a map, as well as various land forms.

Students will create and name cities and land forms that go along with the theme that they choose.

Topics covered include key/legend, scale bar, compass rose, and land forms.

This product includes an instruction sheet with a breakdown of how they will be graded. In addition, a second sheet includes a list of landforms and their definitions.
