Complex Sentences - Identifying Independent and Dependent Clauses

This product focuses on complex sentences and identifying independent and dependent clauses. There is a variety of activities for your students to practice identifying the independent and dependent clauses of a complex sentence. Your students will be challenged and learning needs will be met. It’s a comprehensive look at complex sentences and how they are different than compound sentences as well. These are great activities for the classroom for in-class work, small group work, or homework. All you have to do is print and go!

These activities include finding and labeling the independent and dependent clauses, identifying if the sentence is an independent or dependent clause, and matching the two types of clauses. Again there is a variety of ways for your students to learn and no two activities are the same so that they will have various ways that might work better for them in identifying.
