Behavioral & Structural (Physical) Adaptations Sort: Cut, Paste & Apply- Digital
What educators are saying
Description
Use this interactive resource to practice or assess the concept of behavioral and structural (physical) adaptations for your upper elementary school students.
In this sort, students cut and paste examples and definitions of different types of adaptations. They then sort examples (and definitions) with pictures of the structural and behavioral adaptations into the correct columns and create a notes sheet to use as a reference.
Sorts are excellent critical thinking activities for elementary and middle school students! Sorts teach students how to identify particular characteristics, compare and contrast them, and then determine which group or classification an object belongs. This higher order thinking strategy is essential in the sciences!
NEWLY included: A 6-question 1/2 sheet to use as a class starter or exit ticket AND a vocabulary review application project where students use the sort words in a diagram, story or comic strip.
NOW DIGITAL! Sort is set up as a Google Slide with the boxes as drag and drop!
Enjoy!
