Description
The beginning sounds BUNDLE is a perfect way for students who are getting ready to read by helping them practice beginning sounds for each letter of the alphabet. Worksheets, picture cards, sound sorts, and games included. Build vocabulary in addition to beginning sound practice. Clip art is crisp, fun, and current. Use in whole group instruction, small groups, literacy centers, homework, or independent work time.
BEGINNING SOUNDS WORKSHEETS
Your students will practice their letter sounds with this fun coloring activity! Students will color the pictures that have the same beginning sound as the letter. This resource includes all 26 letters of the alphabet. These are NO PREP- just PRINT AND GO. This is great for small group, literacy centers, independent work, or homework.
BEGINNING SOUNDS WORKSHEETS with AUSTRALIAN SPELLING - Same as Beginning Sounds Worksheets with Australian spelling for the word "colour."
BEGINNING SOUNDS PICTURE CARDS
These beginning sounds picture cards have pictures for all 26 letters from A to Z. There are 438 picture cards perfect for introducing letters and beginning sounds, sorting by beginning sounds, building vocabulary, and sorting by number of syllables.
Included are 438 picture cards in color and 438 picture cards in blackline.
Additionally, there are 26 letter cards in color and blackline in 2 sizes.
These picture cards are versatile. Included are Syllable Headers with Numbers to use when sorting by number of syllables.
ALL LETTERS DO NOT HAVE THE SAME NUMBER OF PICTURE CARDS. There are so many cards you can change the pictures frequently as you build vocabulary.
BEGINNING CONSONANT SOUND SORT
Your students will master beginning consonant sounds with these picture sorts. These sorts target the early phonemic awareness skill of beginning sound isolation. Consonants are paired up in 11 combinations with cut/paste and coloring options. Each combination has 5 options with crisp, fun, and current clip art. Build vocabulary with a variety of pictures.
For each pair of letters:
1. Cut and Paste Sound Sort - 2 options. The first has 10 pictures to sort. The second has 18 pictures. These are great for building vocabulary while working on letter sounds.
2. Color by Sound - Same pictures as Cut and Paste for children to color rather than cut. Designed for children who struggle with organizing, cutting, and gluing. Again 2 options with either 10 or 18 pictures.
3. Simple Sound Sort - Simple cut and glue. Perfect for assessment.
BEGINNING CONSONANT DICE GAMES
Your students will master beginning consonant sounds and letter identification with these two fun games. Consonants are paired up in 10 combinations. For each letter/sound combo there are 2 games. Build vocabulary with a variety of pictures.
