    Description

This BUNDLE contains 8 Chinese New Year Lantern Pictures to work on symmetry and 4 Chinese New Year Math Mystery Pictures to review additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions while having fun for the Lunar New Year!

    - 8 Chinese New Year Lantern Pictures to work on symmetry. 3 levels of difficulty for differenciation.

For the level 1 the drawing is complete and the student must color symmetrically.

For the level 2 half of the drawing and part of the other half are done and the student must complete and color symmetrically.

For the level 3 half of the drawing is done and the student must do the other half and color symmetrically.

This product is different from other symmetry products. The drawings are my own and are made geometrically so that the symmetry work is a real precision work and locating on the grid. The drawings are more or less difficult.

    - 4 Chinese New Year math mystery pictures to practice multiplication, division, addition and subtraction, grade 4 (4th indicated on the cover, see details below regarding the grades).

This resource is perfect for keeping students who finish before the rest of the class engaged in a meaningful way.

    Contents:

8 worksheets per picture for easy differentiation:

    • 2 sheets (easy and hard versions) with a mix of additions and subtractions within 1000 that also contain equations (e.g.: 130 + … = 500)
    • 2 sheets (easy and hard versions) with multiplications, see details below
    • 2 sheets (easy and hard versions) with a mix of multiplications and divisions that also contain equations (e.g.: 35 ÷ … = 7)
    • 2 sheets (easy and hard versions) with a mix of all 4 operations that also contain equations

In the hard sheets, not all questions are hard.

For some questions, it may be necessary for the student to write out the steps of the calculation.

    4 thematic pictures:

    • dragon
    • lantern
    • tangerine
    • red envelope

    Solution included for each exercise.

The product also contains the 4 images in small format to collect (4 sheets of 24 images). You can give them, for example, as a reward when a student completes a coloring page.

This product covers grade 4. To know which grade to purchase:

    Grade 4:

    • Additions and subtractions within 1000
    • Easy level multiplications and divisions: tables from 1 to 9 and multiples of 10 (e.g.: 4 x 90 = …)
    • Hard level multiplications and divisions: tables from 1 to 12, multiples of 10, multiples of 100 and easy multiplications of a single digit by a 3-digit number (e.g.: 3 x 130 = …)

    Grade 5:

    • Additions and subtractions within 1000
    • Easy level multiplications and divisions: tables from 1 to 12, multiples of 10 and easy multiplications of a single digit by a 3-digit number (e.g.: 4 x 205 = …)
    • Hard level multiplications: multiplications of a single digit by a number less than 40 (e.g.: 5 x 27 = …) and easy multiplications of a single digit by a 3-digit number (e.g.: 3 x 315 = …)

Add and subtract within 1000, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method. Understand that in adding or subtracting three-digit numbers, one adds or subtracts hundreds and hundreds, tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose or decompose tens or hundreds.
Mentally add 10 or 100 to a given number 100–900, and mentally subtract 10 or 100 from a given number 100–900.
Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
Use multiplication and division within 100 to solve word problems in situations involving equal groups, arrays, and measurement quantities, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 × ? = 48, 5 = __ ÷ 3, 6 × 6 = ?.
