⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"My students are loving this resource. It is so helpful to have for my Intensive Reading students to help them with higher-order thinking skills and keeping track of the plot and characters as we read. Love this resource and I will use it for years to come! I really love the format of this workbook and it is so thorough. I love the character bios and the questions that go with each chapter. SUCH a good resource!" - Zarina
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"This resource made this whole unit from beginning to end awesome for me as a teacher and was completely relevant for my students. The questions were great. The reading checks were just the right amount, and the chapter work drove our discussions and was not overwhelming to my students. I used a lot of the final test, but I did modify that part for my own needs. In short, this was one of the most awesome resources on a novel that I have found for digital and in-class use. Thank you!!" - Amy
The And Then There Were None Novel Unit is organized as a Survival Guide packet for students and includes chapter-by-chapter quizzes and a final exam. The product contains:
1. NOVEL WEBQUEST – This 20 question web quest provides background knowledge on the author and other important concepts students need to know to connect with the mystery genre. Available separately for $2.25.
2. CHAPTER-BY-CHAPTER VOCABULARY AND SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS - Eighteen pages of vocabulary and questions for each chapter. Students cite text-based evidence to analyze what the text says, make inferences, analyze dialogue, figurative language, and point of view. Also available in Google Docs.
3. GUEST PROFILES - Students record text details and descriptions for each of the guests on Soldier Island. They also take note of the manner in which they died and decide on a new suspect after each death. Also available in Google Slides.
4. "TEN LITTLE SOLDIERS" POEM ANALYSIS - Students use the poem to make a prediction about the order of deaths in the novel, and then complete a poem analysis that requires them to associate each character's death with a death in the poem. Also available in Google Slides.
5. MAP PROJECT & BODY BIOGRAPHY – Students will work in small groups (or individual if you desire) to complete a Map Project for Soldier Island or Body Biography for a key character. Detailed directions require students to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the novel and recreate this understanding in a graphic format. These are great for student engagement and creativity! Available separately for $2.50.
