What educators are saying

I used this resource to help get some ideas for an assignment for my high school students about Alfred Hitchcock. They are doing a deep dive analyzing his movie Psycho.

Description

GREAT FOR HALLOWEEN! or anytime :)

This unit begins with an introduction to horror fiction and guides students through a discussion on the history and success of horror movies. Students will be able to identify successful techniques and camera shots that Alfred Hitchcock used to engage viewers. There are lessons and practice on mood, tone, characterization, and theme. After viewing clips of Psycho, students will also be able to identify several. You have the choice to use this as a standalone unit, or as an intro to a different horror film. This workbook allows you to choose how much, or how little of the film you want to watch.
