Africa Virtual Field Trip

This digital Virtual Field Trip to Africa is a perfect way to engage your students in learning about the continents and is perfect for your elementary Social Studies unit! Students will love watching videos, going on scavenger hunts, and writing about their new knowledge!

• A "Ready to Fly?" slide where students can add their name, date, and location to a boarding pass and see their passport.
• National Geographic Kids "Welcome to Africa" video overview!
• Scavenger Hunt with 12 items for students to find during the video (Note: this scavenger hunt can be done directly in Google Slides™ or on a printable worksheet, also included in this product!)
• A "Choose Your Adventure" slide with clickable links. Students will get to choose between 2 different videos to learn more about the continent. Videos are included for: Egypt Adventure (Mummies) and Kenya Adventure (Elephants). After viewing the video, they can click a link to "end their trip" or "go on another adventure."
• Travel Journal Page: students can draw/label what they learned and saw!

When you purchase and download this product, you will receive a PDF with a clickable link to the Google Slides™ presentation. Once you click on it, you will be directed to make a copy of the presentation in Google Slides™. You will also receive a printable scavenger hunt page as well as a travel journal page for students to print and draw/label what they saw and learned on their field trip.

Please note: This product is a Google Slides™ Presentation. In order for the links to work correctly, it is easier to be in "Present Mode!" In order for students to use the moveable check marks for the scavenger hunt, they will need to be in edit mode. If you are assigning this to students in Google Classroom™, click "make a copy for each student" so that they can each utilize their own copies!
