Accounting I - Teaching Materials for an Entire Course

These teaching materials will be helpful to any instructor teaching Accounting I (Financial Accounting) in a college level or high school level course.

How to use these teaching materials

These teaching materials are organized into the same chapters as in most Principles of Accounting I (Financial Accounting I) textbooks.

The Lesson Plan provided lists:

• The Powerpoint Slides that can be used to lecture on each topic (chapter)
• The example problems that are featured in the Powerpoint Slides for each topic,
• Homework problems that can be assigned for each topic (chapter)

For each topic in a chapter, the Powerpoint slides summarize the important concepts for that topic and include example problems, worked step by step, for that topic.

The Homework Problems Word file includes:

• Text for the example problems in the Powerpoint Slides, and
• Text for the homework problems that can be assigned to students.
• Solutions to the homework problems

Students can work the homework problems on the Microsoft Excel templates provided. Excel solutions are also provided for the homework problems.

Each chapter includes a Key Concepts file which provides definitions for the terminology in that chapter.

A multiple choice quiz and quiz solution is also included for each chapter.
