5th Grade Health - Unit 3: Nutrition and Physical Activities and Worksheets

This unit is compatible for both 5th and 4th grade health.

Included in this 5th Grade Health unit are the following:

• Students will learn the six basic nutrients and how they play a role in maintaining health. These nutrients include: Water, Protein, Carbohydrates, Fat, Vitamins, Minerals.
• They will learn that a body needs 6 types of healthy food daily and their portion sizes.
• Students will also plan 3 healthy meals.
• They will learn the facts about food labels and what it all means in real life.
• They will learn a new ethnic recipe and make their own ethnic recipe.
• Students will learn about vigorous and moderate exercises and come up with their own exercises.
• Lastly, there is an assessment to check for understanding.
• There is an answer key included.
